Am I learning?
What I Expect From This Class

Technology is evolving at a rapid pace. There will always be
something better the next year, learning about technology and seeing how fast
it evolved is interesting in the fact that it was so long ago that we used to
have desktops that require big monitors. Nowadays people are using laptops or
an All-In-One desktop that fits everything that makes up a computer, so no more
towers, less wires and more Bluetooth capabilities. Knowing how fast technology
is transforming we don’t really get to learn about the beginning of the
internet and what was the intended used for it. Technology can be useful in a
way that it connects people, across the world and can be used in uniting people
for a change, a show called Rick and Morty mentions a promotion McDonald’s had
with the Disney movie Mulan twenty years ago. The show made the promotion which
was the limited edition “Szechuan Sauce” famous and brought thousands of people
together to bring back the sauce, riding that wave McDonald’s released the
sauce for one day on October 7th 2017. I wonder if we can predict where
technology is heading, the iPhone X is the future or so that is what Apple is
thinking and that future is having no fingerprint sensor for your phone but
instead using face recognition, this only makes me think about what the future
of technology has for us. Will we be seeing phone companies begin testing how
to project imagines or create holograms? Is that technology too soon for our
time? Will game companies begin to produce Virtual Reality(VR) games? Will we
be talk about modern technology?

ReplyDeleteVR games are already happening but I meant like the big companies like maybe Square Enix, Bungie or Telltale Games, imagine playing an MMO in VR. Sure steam has VR games and their own VR system but most games are indie games so are the big companies going to start production for VR like maybe a Final Fantasy 14 in VR. Holograms yes are already a thing but I also meant as when it will hit the market for everyone to have, kind of like Google glasses where it was a thing but wasn't sold to the public.
DeleteAlso McDonalds did release the sauce but it was only for one day! Rumor has it they're bring it back for one day since many people were outraged that they didn't get the sauce due to insufficient supplies.
